Vs auto-captions
TikTok, Reels, and YouTube auto-captions help some viewers. They are the wrong tool when you need Roman Urdu, a style you picked, and a file that still has captions after a share.
| Need | Platform auto-captions | Caption-Lagao |
|---|---|---|
| Urdu speech on screen | Often Hindi Devanagari or a stiff translation | Roman Urdu, then you edit mixed English |
| Timing | Late sentence blocks | Word timestamps for karaoke and highlights |
| Stay on a repost | Usually lost when someone saves the file | Burned into the MP4 |
| Account | Platform login | None |
| Export | Stuck in the app | MP4 plus SRT, VTT, ASS, or TXT — no watermark |

Auto-detect often writes Hindi Devanagari for Urdu speech. Roman Urdu uses Latin letters — the same script as comments and chats — so a mute Reel can still be read at a glance.
A captioned MP4 with the style you previewed, and optional SRT, VTT, ASS, or TXT. Exports do not add a Caption-Lagao watermark. Timing is only as good as the audio — edit before you post.
