Reels captions in Roman Urdu

Reels autoplay on mute in Explore. Roman Urdu captions keep the hook on screen without forcing Nastaliq onto a tall phone frame.

  • Burned-in MP4 for Instagram upload

Who this is for

For Instagram creators making talking-head Reels, ads, and mixed Urdu–English vlogs.

The problem

Instagram’s own captions are easy to skip and do not match custom styling. A burned-in file is what viewers see even after a share to Stories or WhatsApp.

How Caption-Lagao treats the speech

Generate once, style the text, place it above the Reels username bar, and export the MP4 you upload to Instagram.

Your file

The Reel file stays on this device. Audio is sent to transcribe. Caption-Lagao does not publish to Instagram for you.

How it works

  1. 1

    Export the Reel draft

Save an MP4 from Instagram or your camera roll, then upload it here.

  2. 2

    Generate captions

Choose Roman Urdu for Urdu speech. Edit mixed lines.

  3. 3

    Place for Explore

Set 9:16. Keep text off the lower chrome and off the face.

  4. 4

    Export MP4

Download the captioned file and post it as a Reel.

Keep brand names and English slang in English. That is how comments already look.

If the speaker is low in the shot, move captions to the upper third so they do not sit on a face.

Reels often leave Explore on mute. Instagram’s own captions are a toggle, not a posting file — they will not show in a WhatsApp forward or a Story share of the Reel. Burn-in is what those viewers still read.

Link stickers, poll stickers, and the username row eat the lower third. Place captions in the lower-middle, then preview against Instagram’s UI overlay before you export.

Download a burned-in MP4 for the Instagram upload. SRT is available if you also archive a transcript; Reels will not use SRT as on-screen text.

Questions

Will Instagram replace these captions?

Burned-in captions are pixels in the video. Instagram can still offer its own captions on top — turn those off in the post if they duplicate yours.

Is Nastaliq better for Reels?

Usually not for fast social clips. Roman Urdu is quicker to scan. Use Urdu script when the script itself is part of the message.

Can I caption a Reel without an account here?

Yes. Caption-Lagao does not require sign-in. Projects stay on this device.

Do Reels use an SRT file?

No. Instagram ignores sidecar subtitles on Reels. Export the burned-in MP4 as the file you upload.
